We’ve spent this past year working diligently to shift the way MAIOP works in the post-pandemic world. Now, we are looking for passionate IO Practitioners to join us as we start to scale our strategies.

As the Events Manager for MAIOP, you will be responsible for planning and leading the execution of MAIOP Events throughout the year. The goal is to host at least one event per quarter, a mixture of in person and virtual options, and events that will interest both student and tenured IO practitioners.
This position has a one-year term commitment.
General Responsibilities
Plan events and pitch to board for approval
Collaborate with board to execute event logistics
Work with Social Media Manager to advertise events
Participate in MAIOP events and meetings
Support other board tasks as needed
Qualifications
Passionate about MAIOP Mission
Able to commit 10-20 hours per month towards your responsibilities (including Board meetings)
I/O Psychology Practitioner (HR-based roles welcome)
Interest in event planning, past experience is a bonus
Individual works well with ambiguity
Able to be creative with event options and a small budget
As the Social Media Manager for MAIOP, you will be responsible for creating and posting content on our social media platforms throughout the year. The goal is to post I/O content regularly on all platforms and curate to each platform to increase our member engagement.
This position has a one-year term commitment.
General Responsibilities
Develop content for each social media platform that matches the audience’s interests
Post 2 times per week across the platforms
Work with Events Manager to advertise events
Participate in MAIOP events and meetings
Support other board tasks as needed
Qualifications

Able to commit 10-20 hours per month towards your responsibilities (including Board meetings)
I/O Psychology Practitioner (HR-based roles welcome)
Interest in social media and content creation, experience is a bonus
Individual works well with ambiguity and autonomy
Experience using Canva or other design tools to create visually appealing content (Please send a sample of work with your nomination)
As the Treasurer for MAIOP, you will be responsible for supporting MAIOP’s financial obligations as a non-profit organization. The goal is to keep MAIOP compliant and look for additional ways to increase our revenue.
This position has a two-year term commitment.
General responsibilities
Track and manage MAIOP financial accounts
File appropriate tax documentation on time
Research avenues to increase MAIOP income
Participate in MAIOP events and meetings
Support other board tasks as needed
Qualifications
Passionate about MAIOP Mission
Able to commit 10-20 hours per month towards your responsibilities (including Board meetings)
I/O Psychology Practitioner (HR-based roles welcome)
Previous experience with any Board financial/treasury responsibilities OR prior experience on MAIOP Board
Highly ethical and responsible individual
As a Student Member at Large, you will be responsible for assisting other MAIOP Board Members with their tasks. The goal is to learn more about MAIOP, IO Psychology, and make connections with IO Practitioners in the field.
This position has a one-year term commitment.
General Responsibilities
Support board members with completing their tasks
Participate in MAIOP events and meetings

Interested in networking and learning more about IO in practice
Able to commit 5-10 hours per month towards your responsibilities (including Board meetings)
I/O Psychology Student (any degree level is welcome)
As the University Relations Manager for MAIOP, you will be responsible for connecting with Michigan universities and growing engagement with upcoming IO Psychology Students. The goal is to support upcoming IO Practitioners and provide resources for entering the workforce.
This position has a one-year term commitment.
General Responsibilities
Engage and build relationships with IO Programs and the various Michigan universities
Survey IO Faculty and students to determine how MAIOP can best support them
Plan a Student-focused Event with local universities
Participate in MAIOP events and meetings
Support other board tasks as needed
Qualifications
Passionate about MAIOP Mission
Able to commit 10-20 hours per month towards your responsibilities (including Board meetings)
I/O Psychology Practitioner (HR-based roles welcome)
Interest in networking with University Faculty
Individual works well with ambiguity and autonomy
As the Vice President for MAIOP, you will be responsible for assisting the MAIOP President with executing the organization’s strategy. The goal is to curate membership benefits that match our audience’s interests.
This position has a one-year term commitment.
General Responsibilities
Create and regularly survey current members/ audience on what they want from MAIOP
Gather information on other professional networking organizations for ideas
Build out membership benefits and resources, collaborating with other members as appropriate
Participate in MAIOP events and meetings
Support other board tasks as needed
Qualifications
